By creating an account or using F.O.M.O. Shield ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
F.O.M.O. Shield is an educational investing-simulation tool. It lets you practice buying/selling stocks with simulated ("paper") money, and run stress-test scenarios against simulated market conditions. It is:
All "buy"/"sell" actions in the App happen only against a simulated balance. They create no real ownership, no shareholder rights, and have no real-world financial or legal effect.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.
FS Scores and related analytical content are F.O.M.O. Shield's own proprietary output, generated from mathematical models and publicly available data (via Finnhub and Wikipedia). We are not paid by any company to include it or to influence its score. FS Scores are not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, and should not be treated as one.
FS Scores, and any commentary, ranking, or analysis associated with a company in the App, are statements of opinion, not statements of fact — formed from a consistently-applied methodology and from data that is already publicly available (see Section 5). Company names, logos, and ticker symbols referenced in the App are used solely to identify which company an analysis is about. This use does not imply, and should not be understood to imply, that the referenced company sponsors, endorses, is affiliated with, or has reviewed F.O.M.O. Shield or any of its content.
Market data comes from third-party providers (Finnhub, Wikipedia) via our own backend. We try to keep it accurate and current but can't guarantee completeness or real-time accuracy. Past performance shown in the App, including in simulations, is not indicative of future results — simulations are based on mathematical models and historical patterns, not predictions.
The Stress Test feature runs an accelerated simulation of market conditions, built from historical market data and behavioral patterns and compressed into a much shorter timeframe than real markets would take. Its purpose is educational: to help you notice your own decision-making patterns and mistakes (e.g. panic-selling, chasing hype, poor diversification) in a controlled, low-stakes setting.
Stress Test results, scenarios, and any feedback derived from them (including FS Scores generated during a session) are not instructions or signals for real-world investment decisions. They reflect how a simulated market, built from historical patterns, behaved during that session — not a prediction of how any real market will behave in the future. Real markets can, and often do, behave differently from any simulation. Nothing in the Stress Test feature should be treated as a recommendation to take any specific action with real money.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access (fomoshield@gmail.com).
You agree not to: reverse-engineer or tamper with the App; use it to harass, scrape, or attack our systems or other users; misrepresent simulated results as real trading performance; or use the App for any unlawful purpose.
The App, its design, text, and branding are owned by Volodymyr Oleksiienko. You're granted a personal, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose — nothing here transfers ownership of the App to you.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account — this permanently removes your account and all associated data.
The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that simulated results reflect how real markets would behave.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, F.O.M.O. Shield and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any real-world financial decisions you make after using it. The App provides education, not financial advice — real investment decisions are entirely your own responsibility.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia, the operator's country of residence.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will require you to re-accept them before continuing to use the App, the same way the Disclaimer works today.
